This Sacrament offers strength, courage and peace for the faithful to persevere in their suffering and if it be God’s will, a physical healing. It is for those who have had or will be having surgery, have an illness, sickness, or chronic pain; those suffering the effects of the aging process; those with depressive, emotional, or other conditions; those with addictions or in need of strength to continue with their recovery, etc.
